HomeBurger...

Well, now let's take a break from all these geeky talks. I think you should try something in your kitchen. And see what I call it ! Home Burger !! Try it. I bet you'll never get to gulp down all those oily transfatty stuffs what the Bigs and Kings make you to.

What you need...

Minced meat, ( or you can mince yourself lump of boneless stuff, I'm a great supporter of DIY)
Eggs, as per demand, I don't like exact quantities, it makes you chemist from cook
Cheese slices
Lettuce leaves
tomato and cucumber rings, strictly no onions
and pairs of great buns, never compromise on buns

What you'll do...

Mix minced meat and eggs well, never use mixers, do it by hand. Leave it for 5-10 mins.
Make a ball then press well to give a round shape. Keep it a little thick.
Now get a grill, put it over oven burner (or bbq oven or charcoal, if you're adventurous enough), put the rounded stuff over it, apply some barbque sauce. Keep it in medium flame until done. Change sides often. Always make sure the flame doesn't burn fats as they'd produce harmful ketones. You can do it wrapping in kitchen foils.
Now garnish in the way you've grown up seeing and feasting in the stores. Tomato, cucumber rings over the bottom bun-lettuce-meat-cheese slices-bun.

Enjoy your homeburger. No deep frying, no trans fat. You'll never have to go outside for.

I'll be back.

Good day.

Best things come free...

Well...now just forget all about money and just move on for a while. Going by the current economic status of the whole world, everybody turns more and more reluctant to take out purse or plastic other than meeting basic expenses. Well, I'm a person who don't like to squander money. Particularly when it comes to be something related to software. As an active supporter of Free Software Movement, I'm going to take you to the wonderful world of freewares. Not only your money will be saved, but you don't have to take the way of pirated softwares (though I wonder, how non-commercial users of highly priced softwares can be equated with gun and sword waving 15th century dirty men). Whatever, that's another question and involves much debate. Can we start our journey ?

Media Player

I've never heard of any dumb head, who don't fire media player. At least 97% of frequent users of computers have made it a habit once they hit the power button. Now, be it Windows or Mac, the inbuilt media players can't play every content as you expect. Earlier, the problem was limited to DVD. Of late, so many media formats are elbowing each other to be the number one and eventually be the standard format. Alas ! Only the consumers like you and me bears the impact. In this scenario, you need a media player that can play every audio visual content, be it your captured mobile clips, or a downloaded video from net. GOM Player is a wonderful media player that I like to mention very first. Once you make it as your default media player, and clicking on a single file you'll get to watch or hear every file with similar tag name in that folder playing in succession. You don't have to add all files in playlist. It supports every known format you can think of. Those who need to capture a frame (or all frames !!..yeah you got it right), can go at the bottom right where you can find everything under the control button. This type of frame capture is unique and you don't have to install any other software. But what about the picture quality ? Well, again it is best of the lot. It adjusts itself to the frame size of the video and you'll not notice any vignette like video in full screen mode. When controlling volume, you don't have to click infinitely to get the volume label or targeting precisely on the volume bar, just scroll the mouse wheel- yo can see the percentage volume at the top left corner or at thin panel just below the main screen. The default screen is great though you can change it to couple other skins. This is the best freeware I've ever seen.
Earlier, a good free media player was VLC Player. It is still, to them who don't know about GOMPlayer. It has every kind of operating system variants.
Those who are very much in love with Windows Media Player, and still want to play every kind of files can download KMegaLite Codec pack. You don't have to install any other media player. It is must if you're into media editing.
I think your media player nightmare is over now. Now just grooooooooovvvvvve.......

Office application

Everyone loves what the the two big daddies of computer world offers them for a long time. But they hate the price and of course the installation hazards. I've discovered a great word and data processor named SoftmakerOffice. There are some other free office software around, but this one takes the cake. Why? OK. The size of the installer is just 26 MB. The interface is clear without any clutter. It opens at least three times faster than Office with loading the pictures and charts at one go. But the most noticeable thing is, when you save a file, you'll get so many options. Starting from MS office6.0 to the latest version, it can save in every format. No matter what version of MS office is installed in some other computer where your document will be open. Now considering the fact that a Office 2003 or earlier document is not being opened in MSoffice2007, isn't it a great thing worth to be installed in your computer? Even as the only office application ?
It's word processor is called TextMaker while the excel like data processor is called PlanMaker. The free version is 2006 version while you can go for a paid one of 2008 version. I think the free version can cater you perfectly.
Softmaker has only one drawback. It doesn't have any presentation suite. So what next ? It's an old folks. Openoffice. Another great freeware that is being upgraded to version 3.0. The MAC version is called NeoOffice. The installer is large (but much much lesser than Ms Office !) and you'll be more than happy getting all the three suites without paying a dime.

Enough for today...more are on the way...keep visiting...

GOOD DAY
